Kelly cozy, proofreader
Kelly Cozy has been an editor for more than two decades. A graduate of University of Missouri-Columbia, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in English and journalism, she worked as a copywriter and editor for companies such as Amgen, Practice Builders, Dames & Moore, and Kaiser Permanente.
In 2015, inspired by her experiences as an independent author (of four novels and one nonfiction book), she started her own business, Bookside Manner, as a proofreader and copyeditor specializing in works by independent authors. She’s edited works in a variety of genres, including romance, science fiction, fantasy, steampunk, erotica, literary/mainstream fiction, Christian fiction, and mystery, from short stories to epic series. Her clients rely on her attention to detail, her ability to meet deadlines, her thorough knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style standards, and her experience with both sides of the author-editor relationship.
